SMASH HITS: SUICIDE

Suicide - Ghost Rider (1977)

Suicide's seminal studio album provides not only a unique manipulation of the sounds of the era, but also a fine gem for music loving fanboys and trivia buffs.

The electropunk clash hinges it's title and refrain on Marvel Comics' resident demon biker, whose popularity was at it's peak in the decade. The cooler-than-cool lyrics make astute references not only to Ghost Rider's cute blue jumpsuit, but also the fact that he is, indeed, a motorcycle hero.

The song remains an influential favourite, and the perfect way to start our Halloween Smash Hit soundtrack! Genius!

[NOTE: The unconvinced might like to check out the album version. Much better!]
