We try to serve many masters here on Secret Wars on Infinite Earths, but the tie that binds everything together is the cumulative tally of wins, losses, and draws -- the basis for our Fight Club Rankings!There were several surprises in the ranks, with Gorilla Grodd being the biggest mover of the year! Professor Zoom, Vindicator, and Moondragon all made significant gains with their appearances, as well. Multiple defeats recorded pushed Nightcrawler and Lady Deathstrike into the biggest declines of the year, with Killer Frost falling towards the bottom.
The best of plans were mislaid in 2017, resulting in a heavily abbreviated year. The big losers of the cut-off were Wonder Woman, Spider-man, Thor, Hulk, and Vulture, whose roles in major movie releases were earmarked for featured battles never recorded. Hulk was most impacted, unable to answer the rising rankings challenge of Wolverine and Superman. Wonder Woman and Thor might have made a bigger impact on the Top 20, had their moment in the sun been reflected.
