#1 Freedom Fighters vs Superman & Batman (DC)
Issue: [Superman/Batman #15 (February 2005)]
Writer: [Jeph Loeb] Penciler: [Carlos Pacheco]
Featured Combatants: [Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Uncle Sam]

We begrudgingly find ourselves at the top of the list with the Elseworlds battle that just won't go away! Readers who follow the weekly trends on X & Discord know that this one always tends to come back to the top of the pops -- and I can only imagine why. In the gamut of alternate realities it's a pretty minor one, but its extreme violence, and tyrannical incarnations of Superman & Batman, may have made it seem a bigger deal to the bloodthirsty, unwashed masses than it really ought to be.

As you can probably detect -- I've soured on it over the years. The "Evil Superman" cliche has well and truly worn out its welcome, the multiverse has become an equally tedious and misappropriated concept, I'm tired of seeing heroes fighting each other instead of evil, and the image of Superman brutalizing Wonder Woman speaks to the ugliest aspects of our contemporary culture. It's all around much less fun than it was back in 2005, and I think there are many far superior choices to top the list.

#2 Thor vs Captain Marvel (Marvel/DC)
Issue: [Marvel versus DC #2 (March 1996)]
Writer: [Peter David] Penciler: [Claudio Castellini]
Featured Combatants: [Thor, Captain Marvel]

They called it the "Showdown of the Century" and the mid-nineties crossover epic of DC versus Marvel and Marvel versus DC continues to be one of the most popular topics here in the 21st century! The specific match-ups come in and out of favour, but as DC & Marvel launched a new wave of crossovers in 2025 with Deadpool/Batman -- it was the god-like dream match of Thor versus Captain Marvel that shot to the top of our list!

This one served as the opening bout of the 1996 crossover supercard and was emblematic of the event as a whole. Thor is firmly rooted to a short-lived, redesigned grunge era specific to that time, and Captain Marvel suffers a defeat that many fans still consider to be controversial. It's not perfect, but it's far from the most divisive battle the event featured. I like some of the ideas present and the way the significance of lightning to both characters plays a major part in the result. It's a match-up I might like to see revisited in 2026, but this time it might be Captain Marvel (aka; Shazam) who suffers the times.

#3 Bane vs Batman (DC)
Issue: [Batman #497 (July 1993)]
Writer: [Doug Moench] Penciler: [Jim Aparo]
Featured Combatants: [Bane, Batman]

Rounding out the Top 3 is another evergreen event battle from the nineteen nineties! Everyone has heard of the moment Bane broke The Bat, but we've gotta imagine there are now some curious readers who have never actually witnessed it first-hand. Some of those may be young readers discovering the rivalry through its latest adaptation in DC's Absolute Batman -- a pumped-up, bombastic, juvenile spin on a classic.

The influence of early nineties comics and headline-grabbing stunts like Knightfall (and Death of Superman) can still be felt in a lot of contemporary releases -- a fate many likely held misgivings about, all those years ago. While breaking Bruce Wayne's back may remain divisive for some, the original text holds up as the culmination of a brutal gauntlet through Gotham City's villains, and a bold confirmation of Bane as a more compelling and cunning character than some of his lesser derivations. There are some fights that command everyone's attention by mutual agreement - and this is one of those.

#4 Deathstroke vs Green Arrow (DC)
Issue: [Green Arrow #62 (July 2006)]
Writer: [Judd Winick] Penciler: [Scott McDaniel]
Recent Combatants: [Green Arrow, Deathstroke]

Climbing the charts right up to the final days of the year is a slightly less well known, but no less thrilling grudge match between mortal vigilante and enhanced masked man. In the years since Green Arrow #62 the rivalry between Green Arrow and Deathstroke has only grown, finding its way into the live-action Arrow series, and lodging firmly in the minds of fans of both characters.

This is a curio from the period of time when Oliver Queen was elected Mayor of Star City and shows a fine example of his tactical cunning and expansion into fighting techniques beyond the bow & arrow. Having enjoyed Judd Winick's time on Green Arrow, I'm personally thrilled to see this one making it onto our list, and enduring as we approach a major milestone of twenty years since its publication. These are the kinds of entries that we aim to serve and provide interesting context for both characters.

#5 Nextwave vs Fin Fang Foom (Marvel)
Issue: [Nextwave #2 (April 2006)]
Writer: [Warren Ellis] Penciler: [Stuart Immonen]
Featured Combatants: [Fin Fang Foom, Photon, Elsa Bloodstone, Boomer, Machine Man, The Captain]

Digging deeper into the box of curiosities is a very unexpected entry! Nextwave was an exciting slapstick of rubbery absurdity and internet-era superhero silliness that shook Marvel from the fringes. It made an instant impression -- fending off obnoxiousness, while refreshing a cast of characters who had fallen through the cracks by the mid-2000s.

I'm not sure Elsa Bloodstone would be the cult-favourite she is now, appearing in the Marvel Rivals video game and live-action Werewolf By Night special, without this integral inclusion working alongside: a neglected Monica Rambeau, Futurama-esque revamp of Machine Man, bubblegum revival for X-Force's Boom Boom, and Gorillaz-flavoured introduction of The Captain. Having their own theme song didn't hurt, but it was Stuart Immonen's vibrant visuals, and a kaiju big battle against Fin Fang Foom, that gave the series its instant success and most memorable moment.

#6 Supergirl vs Gorilla Grodd (DC)
Issue: [Supergirl #3 (November 1996)]
Writer: [Peter David] Penciler: [Gary Frank]
Featured Combatants: [Matrix, Gorilla Grodd]

Supergirl's imminent return to the big screen in Woman of Tomorrow saw her exploits tearing up the charts throughout 2025.  There was that infamous cameo in Superman to talk about, but we were all about the comics, which weren't always all about Kara Zor-El!...

As readers discovered in this now-classic entry from the late Peter David's run on the series; this was the time before Superman's cousin was re-introduced into a post-Crisis DC Universe. Don't worry about all that mess, though. The stakes were as high as ever as Gorilla Grodd began another campaign to turn humanity into damn dirty apes! Only this version of Supergirl could stand against him to save the town of Leesburg, which made it a nice newly topical entry here on the site.

#7 Wrecking Crew vs Deadpool, Spider-Man & Punisher (Marvel)
Issue: [Deadpool: Suicide Kings #5 (October 2009)]
Writer: [Mike Benson & Adam Glass] Penciler: [Carlo Barberi]
Featured Combatants: [Deadpool, Spider-Man, The Wrecker, Punisher]

It's not always easy for new featured fights to compete with seasoned Wikipedia sources and popular mainstays, but the drawing power of a superhero team-up between Deadpool, Spider-Man and The Punisher managed to achieve that feat! Yes! We can officially count an update from the past year as one of your favourite battles for 2025!

Actually part of a series spotlighting The Wrecker -- it was an exploration of what happens when so-called "street level" heroes cross the path of magically enchanted super heavyweights! The Wrecking Crew are notorious for throwing down with the likes of Thor, but in this very fun mini-series from 2009, they're hittin the streets in service of another of my favourite Marvel villains -- Tombstone!

#8 Genocide vs Wonder Woman (DC)
Issue: [Wonder Woman #32 (July 2009)]
Writer: [Gail Simone] Penciler: [Aaron Lopresti]
Featured Combatants: [Wonder Woman, Genocide]

Wonder Woman faces one of her deadliest and most vile adversaries in this flashback to a hot period for the series that combined classic Amazonian superheroics with a horrifying new threat! When it comes to smash mouth 2000s battles featuring one of DC's premiere icons -- this is one of the more palatable entries you could revisit!

Genocide was Wonder Woman's dark mirror, created by evil magics from clay gathered at the sites of some of Earth's greatest atrocities. Genocide occupies a villainous status somewhere between Bizarro and Doomsday, expanding Wonder Woman's rogue's gallery with the ultimate physical opponent. These days Wonder Woman herself has evolved into a more aggressive challenger, but I've got an affection for this run, with Simone writing, and Aaron Lopresti superbly inked by Matt Ryan.

#9 DC vs Marvel (DC/Marvel)
Issue: [DC versus Marvel #1 & #4, Marvel versus DC #2-3 (February-May 1996)]
Writer: [Ron Marz & Peter David] Artists: [Dan Jurgens & Claudio Castellini]
Featured Combatants: [Superman, Hulk, Batman, Captain America, Scarlet Spider, Superboy, Juggernaut, Bullseye, Bane, Metallo, Mole Man, Darkseid, Thanos]

It was the crossover conflict so big it occupies two entries into our Top 10 popular picks for the year! Truth be told, in years gone by, we probably would've spent the entire list talking about DC and Marvel's mid-nineties dream matches! Such is the power of seeing some of comics' biggest icons cross company lines for the "Showdown of the Century"!

Two Deadpool & Batman specials published in 2025 opened the door to the first collected reprints of four decades worth of crossovers -- reigniting interest in the now-classic 1996 conflict! Our round-up of all the official match-ups, as well as some obscure skirmishes that happened around them, was a foundational entry for Secret Wars on Infinite Earths, and for many years a go-to source cited by Wikipedia and other websites! While the individual matches are more compelling in their focus -- there really is no bigger fight than that of the DC Universe against the Marvel Universe!

#10 Supergirl vs Lex Luthor (DC)
Issue: [Supergirl #3 (December 2005)]
Writer: [Jeph Loeb] Penciler: [Ian Churchill]
Featured Combatants: [Supergirl, Lex Luthor]

Rounding out our list is another hyper-violent entry from the mid-2000s -- and a battle many are hoping to see on the big screen when the live-action DC Universe begins to unfold from 2025's Superman, into this year's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

The DC cinematic universe will draw from very different sources for their first solo fight with Kara Zor-El, but this featured fight revisits an interesting time when DC Comics themselves had to figure out how to start Supergirl's story anew. She hadn't been included in the DCU after rebooting with Crisis on Infinite Earths and her arrival on the new Earth proved bumpy as she encountered friends & foes, and learned a harsh lesson when she answered the call of Lex Luthor! A brutal battle to finish our list, but you'll find even more spectacular near-misses below, and in the complete 750+ battle archive.

ANNUAL PUNCH-UP: 2025 RANKINGS RECAP
What if every superhero and super-villain in existence were unwittingly competing against one another in a grand secret war across infinite earths? That's right, sports fans! The end of another year means it's time to take a look at the Fight Club Rankings!

Every win, loss, and draw on Secret Wars on Infinite Earths impacts the overall standings. Character-specific updates are at the bottom of every new featured fight -- but only here can we take stock of the big picture!

Season 2025 was one of the shortest yet, but it still managed to have significant impact on the overall tally. We zoomed in on specialist interests, while also addressing some of the big names of the year appearing in feature films, new comic book releases, and video games.

In one of the most significant developments -- we're ending our year with a new addition to the Top 10! The Thing makes his long overdue arrival in the #9 spot, forcing Wonder Woman out of the top bracket and back down to #11 -- sure to be a controversial update despite Ben Grimm's legendary status!

DC & Marvel owned Hyena made the most of his appearance on the site, leveraging a split decision for a surprisingly big +40 gain. He made out better than Dark Claw, who only managed +13 from their featured face-off. The Amalgam villain was our biggest riser, but right behind him were the erstwhile Daredevil, Elektra, and gun-toting anti-hero, The Punisher, who jumped +34 and +33 respectively.

We also saw modest, single-digit gains for The Thing, Deadpool, and Mirror Master -- the latter demonstrating the unforeseen consequences of our featured fight results. Absorbing Man proved to be our biggest loser, plummeting a titanic -342 spots after his defeat. The Wrecking Crew also suffered from the spotlight, with The Wrecker leading the fall down -65 and Piledriver losing -46 spots.

Deadpool advanced on the hotly contested #20 spot still occupied by Black Adam, while Green Lantern made a minor adjustment in that direction, as we begin a feature series that could see him rise to the challenge in 2026. The future could also be bright for the likes of Ryu and Storm, who round out the Top 25, and will both return to the big screen in major releases next year. It could also be interesting to see if Captain America can be the one to shake-up the Top 10 again! We shall see!

The complete list of Season 2025 competitors is available below, with adjusted movements based on year-end records of last year's rankings. You can also flashback to recaps of the ranking movements in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016. Happy new year! Season 2024 of the Secret Wars on Infinite Earths is now officially history, meaning we must convene one more time to determine the best battles of the last year! #1 Kraven the Hunter vs Spider-Man (Marvel)
Issue: [Web of Spider-Man #31 (October 1987)]
Writer: [JM DeMatteis] Penciler: [Mike Zeck]
Featured Combatants: [Kraven the Hunter, Spider-Man]

Anticipation for another doomed Sony adaptation was already in the air at the start of Season 2024. We parlayed our grim expectations into finally delving into one of Kraven the Hunter's most defining comic book tales. It begins with a battle far more impactful than any of the theatrical version's lacklustre efforts -- making for our most popular entry of the year!

Kraven's Last Hunt is one of the legendary texts of the eighties Spider-Man canon and it was a pleasure to at long last add the catalytic struggle to the Comic Book Fight Club card! There are several important conflicts throughout the six-part crossover event, with arguably superior combat, but we had to start with the most shocking of them all. This one was on the docket for a very long time and I'm quite sure we'll be back on the hunt for more from this legendary story.

#2 Anna Williams vs Ling Xiaoyu & Panda (Titan)
Issue: [Tekken: Blood Feud #1 (June 2017)]
Writer: [Cavan Scott] Penciler: [Andie Tong]
Featured Combatants: [Anna Williams, Ling Xiaoyu, Panda, Nina Williams, Paul Phoenix, Tekken Force]

2024 was a big year for fighting games and arguably the biggest of them all was Tekken 8! Long time readers will have noticed that I'm an absolute tragic for the characters and conflicts of the major fighting game franchises, with a curious tradition of getting extra excited for martial arts media at the start of a new year. Conditions were therefore ripe for taking a closer look at the 2017 comic book adaptation that loosely tied-in with the home release of Tekken 7.

I'm not sure if this one would've made my personal Top 10, but it was nice to touch upon more of the enduring icons from the Tekken franchise, and explore a comic book that was actually released in the last ten years! Gamers don't always have a reputation for being big readers, but I love discussing these worlds and play the games for that reason. Despite a schism between hardcore competitive players and "lore" enthusiasts, curiosity always seems to fuel interest in our gaming spotlights. I like to think we can be a bridge between the two fanbases.

#3 Prime Sentinels vs X-Men (Marvel)
Issue: [X-Men #65 (June 1997)]
Writer: [Scott Lobdell] Penciler: [Carlos Pacheco]
Featured Combatants: [Prime Sentinels, Cannonball, Storm, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Cyclops]

The nineties were back in a big way in 2024 thanks in no small part to the animated series revival of X-Men '97! The cartoon throwback introduced a whole new audience to the forgotten threat of Bastion and his adaptive cybernetic Prime Sentinels, stoking interest in their comic book origins from a variety of readers, new & old!

It's often been all too easy to forget my X-Men fandom and it was a wonderful year for reconnecting with Marvel's merry mutants. There were much bigger marquee match-ups featured on the site, but as a reflection of what was hot in 2024, this unlikely Top 3 ranking of Prime Sentinels captures an aspect of the zeitgeist. After all, in addition to being featured in of one of the hottest and most anticipated multimedia adaptations of the year, the concept's legacy was also reflected in the From The Ashes comic book relaunch that included a new Sentinels series.

#4 Beast vs Secret Empire Spy (Marvel)
Issue: [Amazing Adventures #11 (March 1972)]
Writer: [Gerry Conway] Penciler: [Tom Sutton]
Featured Combatants: [Beast, Bennie]

When it comes to these year-end lists I'm sometimes surprised by what garners the most interest from you - the reader. It's easy to assume certain characters and big time match-ups command the most attention, but often unlikely curiosities break through the noise to rise to the top. Case in point: the significant, but slightly less-than-sexy battle between Beast and an anonymous corporate spy.

I found myself brimming with enthusiasm while reading the Beast issues of Amazing Adventures and felt compelled to share the good word despite this particular issue not exactly lending itself to our fight-focused format, and there not really being any associated reason.

The issue is history-making for being the first outing of Beast as a furry manimal, but there is so much more to enjoy than just that trivia note. I didn't necessarily think it would hit big, but it turns out it was intriguing enough to be an instant hit and finish the year a Top 5 entry! Go figure!

#5 Wolverine vs Elektra (Marvel)
Issue: [Wolverine #103 (July 1996)]
Writer: [Larry Hama] Penciler: [Vel Semeiks]
Featured Combatants: [Wolverine, Elektra]

Cartoons and comic book revivals fueled X-Mania throughout 2024, but there might not have been any bigger source of excitement than the blockbuster theatrical intrigue of the long-awaited Deadpool & Wolverine movie. It notably brought Hugh Jackman back to his star-making role, while canonizing the fashion of more comics-accurate costumes, but he wasn't the only comeback that got people talking -- and hitting the site!

Jennifer Garner was one of a handful of cameos appearing in the live-action capper -- and that was all the reason I needed to finally dig in to a match-up that has always been an intriguing consideration. The bone-claw, noseless period for Wolverine isn't exactly anyone's favourite, but his moment of re-training with Elektra is exactly the kind of fight-focused curiosity we like to dig up. It was a nice chance to finally explore some more from Elektra, who's been criminally under featured, despite making waves as a controversial new Daredevil in recent comic books.

#6 Blade vs Gambit (Marvel)
Issue: [Gambit #4 (May 1999)]
Writer: [Fabian Nicieza] Penciler: [Steve Skroce]
Featured Combatants: [Blade, Gambit]

This one had been sitting on my desk for quite a few years, and I was already thinking about it coming up to X-Men '97, so the second I heard Channing Tatum and Wesley Snipes would have cameos as Gambit and Blade in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie -- I knew it was finally going to be time to pull the trigger!

In my mind this was one of the most intriguing battles of the year, and honestly I'm a little surprised it didn't finish higher up the list. By the late nineties I was oscillating between kinda liking and kinda cringing at Gambit, so his solo series went largely unnoticed by me during a period when I was reading less comics. That gives this unlikely dream match even more exotic appeal -- even if the results of their battle are kind of par for the course. I think this entry is a little underrated and time might correct that.

#7 Deadpool vs Wolverine (Marvel)
Issue: [Wolverine #88 (December 1994)]
Writer: [Larry Hama] Artists: [Adam Kubert & Fabio Laguna]
Featured Combatants: [Deadpool, Wolverine]

This one was an obligatory entry in a year of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie, which might've made it feel a bit played out by the time we put this particular match-up under the Secret Wars on Infinite Earths microscope. Coming in at #7 is no shame, but we might've expected it to rank higher given its importance to 2024.

We could hardly ignore the marquee appeal of these two massively popular mainstream characters, and I was pleased to finally take a closer look at a Sliding Doors white whale issue in my collection, but even I can admit that it might not be one of my personal Top 10 for the last year. That's right! I'm turning heel on the data!

If you checked out the featured fight in detail, you would've discovered that the revelation of the Deadpool and Wolverine dynamic is that they don't really have a very compelling comic book history. At least not in their first outing. I'll leave it to the featured article to explain that in more depth, but suffice it to say I'm not too disappointed that this one only managed to reach #7 on our list.

#8 Sabretooth vs Wolverine (Marvel)
Issue: [Uncanny X-Men #212 (December 1986)]
Writer: [Chris Claremont] Penciler: [Rick Leonardi]
Featured Combatants: [Wolverine, Sabretooth]

A more surprising entry this low on our list is the first comic book encounter between Wolverine and his arch-nemesis Sabretooth! This legendary rivalry is steeped in vicious conflict and it's always been an ambition to see their blood feud better represented here on the site.

Enthusiasm for Wolverine's big screen return made it the perfect time to finally take a closer look at one of their many famous battles -- not that I need a lot of excuses to dig back into the brown costume, eighties era of Wolverine and the X-Men. This is the good stuff and I would probably rank it one of my personal favourite features of the year.

The cover of the issue declares it "Round 1", giving away that it was merely the beginning of a beautiful hatred. Did they know they were creating one of the greatest enduring feuds in comic book history? Perhaps, but it's also a sign that this was part of the famous Mutant Massacre crossover -- another subject I've been wanting to examine for a very long time!

#9 Ryu vs Dhalsim (Tokuma)
Issue: [Street Fighter II #3 (June 1994)]
Writer: [Masaomi Kanzaki] Penciler: [Masaomi Kanzaki]
Recent Combatants: [Dhalsim, Ryu]

2013's Street Fighter 6 was a triumphant return to form for the legendary fighting game series, advancing storytelling interests developed in Street Fighter V, with an intuitive and well executed sandbox environment. The newest game finally allowed players to explore the famous world of warriors -- but in days of yore, the only way to do that was in extra media like the Tokuma Shoten manga series released in conjunction with Street Fighter II.

The English-language release of this martial arts curiosity has become an on-going project for Secret Wars on Infinite Earths and it was nice to advance our rankings with another deep dive into the localized action of Masaomi Kanzaki's now-classic work.

Like the higher ranked entry for Tekken; the Top 10 ranking of our Street Fighter feature reminds that there's a healthy appetite amongst gamers for the story-driven exploits of these characters, as well as the fun that can be had taking control of them. I hope we'll be able to explore more in the new year.

#10 Batman vs Penguin (DC)
Issue: [Detective Comics #611 (February 1990)]
Writer: [Alan Grant] Penciler: [Norm Breyfogle]
Featured Combatants: [The Penguin, Batman]

Times have been tough for DC Entertainment, and they only just managed to squeak an entry into our Top 10 list this year. There weren't a lot of options to choose from in our 2024 line-up, leaving the heavy lifting to be done by Batman, and a couple of entries inspired by the live-action Penguin series starring Colin Farrel and Cristin Milioti.

The eight episode HBO series significantly reimagines The Penguin for a movie-watching audience, but we went to the comic books to take a closer look at a version of the classic umbrella-wielding bad guy that skews a little more legit.

It was another nice excursion into 1990 and the post-Crisis DC Universe, but if I'm honest I probably would've selected the other Batman feature from this year, or one of the many other selections relegated to our Bringing Up The Rear consolation list [below].

ANNUAL PUNCH-UP: 2024 RANKINGS RECAP
Weaving through every entry on Secret Wars on Infinite Earths is the constant thread of the Fight Club Rankings! Each result impacts the overall standings, with character-specific updates nestled at the bottom of every new battle -- but only here can we see the true consequence of another year of wins & losses!

Season 2024 was a short but sweet series that once again drew inspiration from multimedia adaptations, boosting some of the mainstream darlings of the major companies, while also propelling a few unexpected comic book and video game favourites further up the Fight Club Rankings!

Nobody came close to touching our biggest mover this year: The Kingpin organized a massive +609 rise through the ranks with a mildly controversial victory. Far behind our Most Improved, but still making a respectable showing, were Professor X, Two-Face, Kraven The Hunter, and Scarlet Witch -- all jumping almost three hundred spots! No such luck for Microchip and Callisto -- the biggest downgrades in 2024.

The Top 10 remained unmoved by the year's action, but potential for a shuffle continues to loom, with Wolverine most notably stalking the Top 3 across multiple entries. The more hotly contested #20 spot also went unchanged this year. It could be that this section of the ranks is beginning to stabilize, moving higher stakes activity further down the list. Deadpool, Ryu, and Storm all entered the Top 25, perhaps indicating the X-Men's wind rider now occupies the new gatekeeper's position.

The complete list of Season 2024 competitors is available below, with adjusted movements based on year-end records of last year's rankings. You can also flashback to recaps of the ranking movements in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016. ANNUAL PUNCH-UP: 2023 RANKINGS RECAP
Weaving through every entry on Secret Wars on Infinite Earths is the constant thread of the Fight Club Rankings! Nestled at the bottom of every new battle are live updates to characters' positions -- but only here can we see the true consequence of another year of wins & losses!

Season 2023 faced the usual challenges, but we had some strong and interesting entries across the year. There were inspirations from the usual sources of multimedia adaptations, and a few old favourites providing the usual eclectic mix of obvious -- and not-so obvious -- movers & shakers.

Black Knight made the biggest gains this year, leaping +545 slots to take Most Improved. Respectable runners-up included movie-relevant B-listers Blue Beetle, The Flash, and Hercules, with ranks improving by over 270.  Also leaping over two hundred ranks were Moondragon, Uncle Marvel, Galactus, and Tawky Tawny. Otherer noteable rising stars included: Ibis the Invincible, Adam Warlock, Ultron, General Zod, Justice, Mary Marvel, and Vision.

The Top 10 remained consistent from last year's result, but the hotly contested #20 position was claimed by Black Adam, whose past successes in comics were a little more impressive than his entry into films. The Black Marvel edged out Iron Fist, but couldn't steal the lightning of a slipping Thor, or rising Flash. It will be interesting to see if new names enter into the gatekeeper's position, with a wider margain starting to open at this portion of the ranks.

The complete list of Season 2023 competitors is available below with adjusted movements based on our year-end record of last year's rankings.
